Vake Apartment — Private Residence Interior

This 200-square-meter residence in the Vake district of Tbilisi blends sculptural elements with understated warmth. Natural light and bold silhouettes define the space, where floating fireplaces, clean lines, and curated art form a visual dialogue between modernity and comfort.
The interior unfolds with quiet drama: a central living space wrapped in soft light and anchored by a mustard leather sofa, black suspended fireplace, and Eames lounge chair. A wall-length bookshelf and monochrome abstract paintings offer both function and rhythm.
In the dining area, a cluster of lightbulbs creates a chandelier that acts like sculpture, hovering above a long wooden table framed by dark curtains and views to the wooded hills beyond. Throughout the home, greenery brings scale and softness—strategically placed to frame circulation and sightlines.
The staircase, made of solid concrete slabs, rises like a rhythmical sculpture— simple, brutalist, and beautiful. In the bedroom, tactile materials and restrained colors create a space of total calm, where linen, oak, and coastal photography echo themes of serenity.
In contrast, the kitchen and bathrooms introduce playful color: yellow dining chairs energize the white kitchen, while sage-green tiles in the bathroom bring a graphic, retro-modern texture to daily rituals.
Every material has been chosen to age gracefully; every line is clean but lived- in. This home is a study in how boldness and softness, clarity and comfort, can exist in harmony.
