2015

The Project is a collaboration between O, Moda, Moda and Popiashvili Gvaberidze Window Project - an exhibition of reincarnated technical design objects, along with the works of young Georgian artists. The idea and the title of the show refer to the useless role the equipment, furniture, and light fixtures of science labs are facing today in many research institutions. Other than giving a new life to abandoned objects, the exhibition brings focus to the esthetics of technical design and enacourages recycling of technical, science lab objects. The renovated equipment surrounded by framed botanical prints from the 60s and contemporary art works were displayed in a historical Melik Azaryants building, in a former apartment that serves as a new space of Popiashvili Gvaberidze Window Project and Silkroad Artist Residencies.
