Art Villa Garikula is an independent art centre and a meeting place for local and international artists. It offers art residencies, short trips and workshops. Based in a 19th c. citadel built by Polish architect near the river in 1855, it emphasizes the importance of dialogue between various disciplines and different backgrounds, as an important step to artistic development and diversity.
Annual summer art-festival“Fest I Nova” which is founded in honor of Brothers Zdanevich, serves as the final showcase of the works created by the artists during their summer residency in the place.
O, Moda Moda, Pop Up Café and concept store was set to look as one of the art pavilions along with its primary function. Built from local materials, its main purpose was to be organically entwined with existing surroundings. The basic, low budget and fun structure of the pop–up store became the main meeting place for artist and visitors alike.
