WHAT'S FOR BREAKFAST? /

2013

The exhibition was commisioned by Platform Culture - Central Europe as a project focusing on the shared cultural values of Central European countries belonging to the “Regional Partnership” (Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Georgia).
The Platform has chosen design as the medium of creative expression. Trough a selection of handpicked objects and breakfast specialities, meticulously curated by national partners. Each table arrangement narrates a fascinating story. The table concepts have distinctive flavours envisioned by curators from their respective countries. They portray stories of daily life in each country.
The concept for Georgian table was chosen based on Georgia’s beloved tradition of eating in backyards an on balconies. On the table layout you could find a contemporary minimalistic ceramic tableware, vintage silver cutlery, as well as old and new cristal and glassware - combination of old and new objects that characterizes modern Georgian design aesthetics.
